Friday was a busy day. For school, Jessie did four math lessons. In doing so, she finished Saxon Math First Grade (hear the opening choirs of Pomp and Circumstance in the background). It had been a long week starting with a doctor appointment and ending with a year’s completion of a math book.
On Friday afternoon, we embarked on a half dozen house projects.
Friday afternoon, we drove to the Amish store and got miscellaneous groceries. One of Jessie’s brothers will soon be home for Spring Break and we need a varieties of foods in the larder.
We visited two families.
We read Bible. We prayed. We fell asleep. Day 269 had ended
Blessings: Seeing old friends. Finishing a year’s worth of math. Learning a year’s worth of math. Never forgetting that learning is not about a job and a paycheck in the future, but education the amazing brain that God has given us. Loving to learn for the sheer joy of learning.
