So, we drove from 2:00am until we arrived at Jessie’s brother’s college at 9:30am. We helped unload his stuff and were back on the road by 10:00am. We arrived back at the house by 9:00pm. The same lady was at the car rental place. She was a bit remorseful. There are many beautiful places to drive in America. The rice fields of Arkansas, not so much. But, the highways of Tennessee and Kentucky were pretty, even in the dullness of winter.
Other than that, it was a long, boring trip.
We did talk to many brothers and sisters via cell phone along the way.
Jessie was excited to see us when we got back. We had a gigantic bowl of ice cream. We read Bible. We prayed. We fell into bed exhausted (and still with a head cold). Day 220 was over.
Blessings: A nasty trip over and done. Red-tailed hawks along the highways. Ice cream, especially in gigantic-bowl servings.
