Day 214 (January 2, 2015)

214 Jessie w Bible.JPG

Brother and sister headed out early to go to college.  This marks the beginning of the end of Christmas break.  There was so much disappointment.  There were so many good things.  I picked up five pork loin and five gallons of milk.

Sister stripped the beds and did laundry.  We tore beds down and reconfigured the two bedrooms.  Brother and I finished the attic insulation, the space behind Jessie’s closet, and made two access panels.  There are about 2-3 more projects in the world of insulation, and we can call the second floor done.  I can’t finish insulating in the basement until the wiring is done.

Jessie made flowers and hearts with Perler beads.  I’m glad I thought of those.

We moved the building materials out of the garage and back into the basement area.

All in all, it was a good day of work to wrap up a good week of work.  And, the house looks better with the bedrooms back in order.

Supper was stir fry chicken, teriyaki marinated mushrooms, corn, Kung Pao noodles, and rice.

In the evening, we sat in the living room like a bunch of residents at a senior citizen home.  Everyone was too tired to care.  Jessie was hyper and talked us into one round of Duck Duck Goose.  We had ice cream and ice cream sandwiches.

We read Psalm 1 and prayed.

Bedtime was early and day 214 ended early.

Blessings:  Being 90% done with insulating.  Knowing the two siblings made it safely back to school.  Having family come for Christmas.  Having family go away after Christmas.
