Everyone was up at 6:30am to head for church.  Breakfast was French toast and bananas.

Church was edifying.  The message was on hospitality and the example of Aquila and Priscilla.  It’s always great to meet around the Lord’s table.

After Church, we used a small charcoal grill to cook the marinated chicken breasts and a bit of pork.  The sliced meat was served on a bed of lettuce with croutons.  It was really yummy.

After lunch, we went to a new park.  The park has a view of the river, swings for three, fountains in which to play, a large keyboard to step on and play notes, a carousel, a fog area, and so many other things.  Jessie loved it.  She splashed in the water and didn’t want to leave.

After that park, we went to a dog park near home.  Jessie was cornered by a pair of bulldogs who wanted to love on her and Jessie had to retreat to the top of a picnic table.

After the second park, I asked Jessie what she wanted to do.  She said she wanted to chase me around the back yard.  So, she chased me.  She said she wanted to swing on her swing.  So we swang on her swing.  She said she wanted to tear down wallpaper.  So, we finished tearing down the wallpaper on the first floor.

We read a little extra Anne of Green Gables.  We read Bible.  We prayed.  We played taps.  Day 117 was a good day.

Blessings.  Lunch tables to eat grilled meat, picnic tables to hide from bulldogs, and the Lord’s Table reminding us we cannot hide from our sin.  Fountains in which to play on a beautiful afternoon and baptism in which we can become whiter than snow.
